The benefit of hearing falling water to concentration and academic study

In our fast paced world we tend to constantly rush around to get somewhere or we are constantly under mental stress. The sound of soothing water can give the brain a break.

Marine biologist Wallace J. Nichols has written a book called “blue mind.” He has explored the changes that occur in our brain when we are close to water. Nichols describes what happens in our brain when we are close to water. He contends that the sound of ocean, lake, river, pool or even water coming out of your bathtub connect us back to nature. The sound of water increases concentration, helps with post-tramatic stress disorder and helps with depression.

If you have spent any amount of time researching how to go to sleep faster, you have probably discovered the sounds apps that feature the sound of the ocean.

The goal is to create negative ions in the air around us. The sound of water may even reduce air-borne bacteria in the room by 95% (good to know during flu season).

In the Passion translation of the  Bible in Psalm 23 it is written: He offers a resting place in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life.” (Verses 2 and3).

It looks like the Lord knew the answer before the science studies were processed.

P.S. I don’t know how to swim. Do you think it’s to late? Try these ideas for mental tasks you have coming in the month ahead!
