The lies you believe about yourself

Dear reader, today I want to talk to you about lies you believe about your brain. Once you begin to practice anything that is untrue it sticks in your brain and gets rehearsed until you really believe it. After that your behavior reflects the lie.

With Jesus we have a chance to break these brain patterns and replace them with the truth.

Worship leader Brandon Lake puts it this way:

  • Goodbye fear
  • Hello peace
  • Goodbye pain
  • Hello strength
  • Goodbye grave
  • Hello hope

In John 8:44 Jesus describes how Satan lies to us:
“Satan was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.  When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it”  (NKJV).

Check with the Holy Spirit and see if you believe any of the following lies about your brain:
  1. My brain will never get any better than it is today.
  2. No sense dreaming about my future, it is what it is.
  3. I’m too old.
  4. Other people learn better than me.
  5. I’ll never get this subject.
  6. It is better to avoid what you don’t know than go for it.
  7. This work is too hard for me.
  8. Making mistakes means I can’t do it.
  9. Here we go again; just like the old days.
  10. God wouldn’t show up to support my efforts.

WHICH OF THESE LIES ARE PLANTED IN YOUR HEAD THAT KEEP YOU FROM LEARNING NEW THINGS?

LETS DIALOGUE TOGETHER ABOUT THIS IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW…

For me, I am often stuck in Lie #3- I’m to old. Believing that keeps me from learning new things on the computer for sure!
